1010 Brickell
Unbranded upper-tier luxury with the best amenity package in Brickell. The rooftop pool alone is worth the conversation.

Echo Brickell is a 57-story ultra-luxury residential tower at 1451 Brickell Ave in South Brickell, completed in 2017. The building was developed by Property Markets Group (PMG) and JDS Development Group, designed by Carlos Ott with interiors by Yoo Studio. PMG is one of the most respected developers in Miami for actual build quality, not just marketing. Echo Brickell reflects that reputation. The construction is solid, the finishes are genuinely high end, and the building has been maintained well since completion. The units are large, ranging from studio to penthouse, with floor-to-ceiling glass, premium Italian kitchens, and oversized balconies. The views from upper floors are currently among the best in South Brickell, with Biscayne Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, Virginia Key, and the Rickenbacker Causeway all visible. However, the older buildings along Brickell Bay Drive and in South Brickell along the water are candidates for redevelopment, and as they are replaced by new towers over the next 10 to 15 years, some of those views will be affected. Echo Brickell is not a party building and not a value building. The resident base is mature, established, and low-key. The building is quiet. The amenities are excellent, with pools on both the lower level and the rooftop, a full spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. The South Brickell location provides easy access to I-95 and the Rickenbacker Causeway, and the Metromover station is directly across the street. This is a building for people who want genuine quality and are willing to pay for it.
Echo Brickell attracts a mature, financially established resident base that values genuine quality over flash. This is not an influencer building or a party building. The residents here are executives, established professionals, high-net-worth individuals, and international buyers who want a quiet, high-quality building in Brickell without the social scene and noise of branded condo-hotel towers. The building is calm. The people who live here tend to be settled and private. If you have money and good taste and want to be left alone in a very nice building, Echo Brickell is a strong option.
Echo Brickell sits at 1451 Brickell Ave at the southernmost edge of Brickell proper, just north of the transition to South Brickell. The location provides easy access to I-95 and the Rickenbacker Causeway while being far enough south to avoid the worst of the Central Brickell congestion. The Metromover station is directly across the street.
Directly across the street from Echo Brickell. One of the most convenient Metromover access points in South Brickell, connecting to Metrorail and the broader Miami transit network.
The older residential buildings along Brickell Bay Drive to the east were built between the 1960s and 1980s. These buildings will be redeveloped over the next 10 to 15 years, which will eventually affect east and southeast views from Echo Brickell toward Biscayne Bay.
The older low-rise and mid-rise buildings along the South Brickell waterfront are candidates for redevelopment. As Miami's development wave moves south, these parcels will be replaced by new towers, affecting southeast and south views from Echo Brickell.
A few minutes by car from Echo Brickell, providing access to Virginia Key, Key Biscayne, and the Atlantic Ocean. One of the major advantages of the South Brickell location.
Much faster I-95 access than Central Brickell buildings. A significant quality-of-life advantage for residents who drive regularly.
Echo Brickell's view situation is currently excellent but carries long-term risk. The older buildings along Brickell Bay Drive to the east and the South Brickell waterfront to the south and southeast will be redeveloped over the next 10 to 15 years. As those buildings are replaced by new towers, some of Echo Brickell's bay and ocean views will be affected. The timeline is uncertain, but the direction is clear. Buyers should understand that the current views are not permanent and factor that into their decision.

Property Markets Group (PMG) is one of the few developers in Miami with a genuine reputation for build quality that holds up over time. Echo Brickell reflects this. The construction is solid, the finishes are high end, and the building has aged well since its 2017 completion. This is not skin-deep luxury. The building will continue to age well, which is a meaningful advantage over many comparable Brickell towers that look great on move-in day but show their limitations within a few years.
The rooftop infinity pool at Echo Brickell is one of the best in South Brickell. The views from the rooftop are currently unobstructed, with Biscayne Bay, Virginia Key, and the Rickenbacker Causeway all visible. The lower-level pool is also well-designed and resort-quality. For a building of this size (180 units), the pool-to-resident ratio is excellent.
The older buildings along Brickell Bay Drive to the east and the South Brickell waterfront to the south and southeast will be redeveloped over the next decade or more. When those buildings are replaced by new towers, Echo Brickell will lose some of its current bay and ocean views. There is no firm timeline, but the direction is clear. If you are buying an east or southeast-facing unit specifically for the bay views, understand that those views are not guaranteed to last the life of your ownership.
Echo Brickell is far enough south to avoid the worst of the Central Brickell chaos, but close enough to walk to the Metromover station directly across the street. I-95 access is significantly faster than from Central Brickell buildings. The Rickenbacker Causeway and Key Biscayne are a few minutes away. If you have a car and need to leave Brickell regularly, this location is a meaningful quality-of-life upgrade over buildings closer to Mary Brickell Village.
Echo Brickell has a 6-month minimum rental period and limits rentals to twice per year. This is more restrictive than many Brickell buildings. The result is a quieter, more stable, more residential building. For buyers who want to live here, this is a feature. For investors who want maximum rental flexibility or short-term rental income, it is a constraint. Know which situation applies to you before buying.
Most units at Echo Brickell have semi-private or fully private elevator foyers, meaning you step off the elevator directly into a private entry rather than a shared corridor. This is a genuine luxury feature that adds privacy and security, and it is relatively rare in Brickell buildings at this price point.
Echo Brickell is priced at a premium relative to most Brickell buildings, and the premium is justified by the build quality, the amenities, and the views. However, if you are looking for value in Brickell, this is not the right building. The price per square foot is among the highest in South Brickell. The HOA fees are substantial. If you want the best, you will pay for it here. If you want a reasonable deal in a decent location, look elsewhere.
The interior design at Echo Brickell was done by Yoo Studio, the design firm associated with Philippe Starck. The common areas and lobby have a distinctive, design-forward aesthetic that some residents love and others find cold or overly stylized. Before committing, visit the building in person and spend time in the common areas to make sure the design language works for you.
Echo Brickell is one of the best-built residential towers in South Brickell. PMG's reputation for genuine quality is earned, and it shows throughout the building. The finishes are high end, the construction is solid, the management is professional, and the building has aged well. The views are currently spectacular. The resident base is mature and low-drama. The South Brickell location provides faster I-95 and Rickenbacker access than most Brickell buildings, and the Metromover station is directly across the street. The trade-offs are real: you will pay a significant premium, the rental policy is restrictive, and the bay views are on a long-term time clock as South Brickell redevelops. But if you want genuine ultra-luxury quality in Brickell without the party scene or the condo-hotel chaos, Echo Brickell is one of the best options available.
