My Brickell
Miami's first post-recession condo. Designed by Karim Rashid, drenched in color, and completely unlike anything else in Brickell. You'll either love it or hate it

1100 Millecento is a 43-story condominium tower completed in 2015, developed by the Related Group and designed by architect Carlos Ott. The interiors and common areas were designed by Pininfarina, the legendary Italian design firm behind Ferrari, Maserati, and Rolls-Royce. The building has 382 units ranging from studios to two bedrooms, with sizes from 578 to 1,270 square feet. It sits at 1100 South Miami Avenue in south central Brickell, a block or two from the Metrorail tracks. The Pininfarina connection is the building's calling card. The common areas, gym, and lobby have unique sporty design touches that reflect the firm's automotive heritage. Some people love it, some people find it a bit much. Either way, it is the most distinctive thing about the building. Beyond the Pininfarina branding, the common spaces and lobby are well maintained but nothing you would call luxury or high-end. The units themselves are decent but on the smaller side, reflecting the 2015 trend toward compact floor plans. The kitchens are European-style, which means fewer cabinets and smaller appliances than you might expect. Some original units may still have carpeting, which is an unusual and somewhat dated touch for a Brickell building. Make sure you see the specific unit you are considering before committing. The rooftop pool on the 43rd floor is genuinely impressive, with infinity pool views of Biscayne Bay and the city skyline. There is also a pool on the 9th floor above the parking garage. The amenity package includes a fitness center, spa with steam and sauna, a theater, and a club lounge. Residents also get access to Club Mare, a private beach club on Key Biscayne. In my personal opinion, as with all Related Group buildings, the standard caveats apply. The construction quality is adequate but not exceptional. The building was designed to hit a mid-tier price point, and it delivers exactly that. No more, no less.
1100 Millecento attracts a more mature, professional crowd than many Brickell buildings. The residents tend to be a little older, working professionals who value a quiet, well-managed building over nightlife and social scene. This is not a party building. You will not find a lot of influencers, content creators, or the see-and-be-seen crowd here. The restrictive rental policy of only 3 times per year helps keep the resident base stable and reduces the transient hotel-like atmosphere that plagues some other Brickell towers. It is a building for people who want to live in Brickell without the drama.
1100 Millecento sits in south central Brickell on South Miami Avenue, a block or two from the Metrorail tracks. It is centrally located with walking access to Brickell City Centre, Mary Brickell Village, and the full range of Brickell restaurants and shops. The location is convenient for transit users but challenging for daily car commuters during rush hour.
Major mixed-use complex with high-end retail, restaurants, and entertainment. A short walk north on South Miami Ave. The closest major shopping and dining destination.
Adjacent Related Group development to the immediate south. Part of the same general cluster of mid-tier Brickell towers.
The Metrorail tracks run a block or two west of the building. Metromover access is also nearby, providing transit connections to Downtown Miami, Omni, Dadeland, and the airport.
A super-tall development by the Prosper Group is planned for the site directly to the north of 1100 Millecento. This will bring years of construction activity and will affect north-facing views significantly.
A new development called ORA by Casa Tua is planned to the southeast, replacing the parking garage of an office building on Brickell Avenue. This will add construction activity and may affect southeast-facing views.
There is a parking lot directly to the south that will eventually be redeveloped. The timeline and project details are currently unknown, but it is a matter of when, not if.
1100 Millecento is facing development pressure from multiple directions. The Prosper Group super-tall is going up directly to the north, which will significantly impact north-facing views and bring years of construction noise and activity. To the southeast, ORA by Casa Tua will replace a parking garage on Brickell Avenue. The east-facing views are already obstructed by existing buildings. To the south, a parking lot will eventually be redeveloped, though the timeline is uncertain. The west-facing views toward the Metrorail tracks are the most stable. Overall, buyers should expect the view landscape to change substantially over the next 5 to 7 years.

Some original units at 1100 Millecento may still have carpeting, which is an unusual and somewhat dated choice for a Brickell building. Not all units have been updated. Before you commit to buying or renting, make sure you see the exact unit you are getting. If it still has carpet, factor in the cost of replacing it with tile or hardwood.
The kitchens at Millecento are European-style, which means fewer cabinets, smaller appliances, and a more compact layout than you might expect in an American building. If you cook a lot or need significant kitchen storage, this could be a real issue. Tour the kitchen carefully and measure the appliance spaces before committing.
The common areas, gym, and lobby were designed by Pininfarina, the Italian firm famous for designing Ferraris and Maseratis. The design has unique sporty touches that reflect the firm's automotive heritage. Some people find it sleek and distinctive. Others find it a bit much for a residential building. Make sure you tour the common areas and decide if the aesthetic works for you before buying.
The 43rd floor Cielo Room with its infinity pool overlooking Biscayne Bay and the city skyline is the best amenity at Millecento. It is a genuinely impressive space that punches above the building's weight class. The views from up there are excellent, and the private cabanas make it feel more exclusive than the building's mid-tier positioning would suggest.
Millecento only allows owners to rent 3 times per year, which is one of the more restrictive policies in Brickell. This effectively prevents Airbnb-style short-term rentals and limits investor-driven turnover. The result is a more stable, quieter resident community compared to buildings with more permissive rental rules. If you are buying to live in, this is a significant positive.
A super-tall development by the Prosper Group is planned directly to the north of Millecento. This will bring years of construction activity including noise, dust, and heavy equipment. North-facing units will be most affected, and those views will be permanently altered once the tower is complete. Factor this into your unit selection and pricing expectations.
A new development called ORA by Casa Tua is planned to the southeast, replacing the parking garage of an office building on Brickell Avenue. The east-facing views are already obstructed, and this new project will add to the wall of buildings surrounding Millecento. More construction activity in the immediate vicinity for years to come.
1100 Millecento was built in 2015 when the trend was toward smaller, more compact units. The largest two-bedroom is only 1,270 square feet, and studios start at just 578 square feet. If you need space, this building will feel tight. The European-style kitchens compound the issue by offering less storage and counter space than American-style layouts.
Millecento has a reputation as a quiet, drama-free building. The residents tend to be working professionals who are a little older and more settled than the typical Brickell crowd. There is no HOA drama, the building is well maintained, and you will not find the party atmosphere or social media circus that characterizes some other towers. If you want a low-key Brickell experience, this is one of the better options.
1100 Millecento is a decent, no-drama building in south central Brickell. The Pininfarina interior design gives it a unique identity, and the rooftop pool on the 43rd floor is genuinely impressive. The building is well maintained, the HOA is drama-free, and the resident base is mature and professional. But at its core, this is a mid-tier Related Group product with all the standard caveats. The units are smaller than average, the European kitchens have less storage, some original units still have carpeting, and the construction quality is adequate but not exceptional. The development outlook is concerning, with the Prosper Group super-tall going up to the north, ORA by Casa Tua to the southeast, and a parking lot to the south that will eventually be developed. Views are going to change. If you want a quiet, well-located Brickell building at a reasonable price point and you do not need a lot of space, Millecento is a solid choice. Just check the specific unit carefully before you buy.
